Connect your AI model
Atelier Coin works with a cloud provider, a local model on your PC, or the built-in option. Each choice affects privacy and speed differently.
Choose your model source
Cloud AI provider
Use a cloud AI provider through a standard API endpoint. Your prompts go to that provider, so the text leaves your machine. You control the endpoint URL and API key. The agent reads your code and sends it for analysis. Review the results carefully before accepting changes.
Local model
Run a model locally on your PC. With a local model, prompts and file text stay on the PC. Keep keys out of repositories.
Built-in model
Use the built-in model for quick, simple tasks. This option is ready to use without your own endpoint.
Test your connection
The Test button checks an endpoint, shows response time and the context window.
Select the right model
Use a bigger model for refactors or complex logic. Smaller models work well for small edits. The run_on_model tool sends hard steps to a bigger model. This ensures complex blockchain code is handled correctly. You can switch models for different tasks. This flexibility helps you manage your development workflow.
Quality varies between different model providers. Always review the diff before accepting changes. Use Ask first to pause before each action. This gives you time to check the code. You stay in control of your blockchain app. The agent suggests changes, but you approve them.
